Abstract Summary
The South African Qualifications Authority evaluates foreign qualifications by verifying the authenticity of foreign qualifications and also compares them to national qualifications within the National Qualifications Framework. SAQA provides a certificate to the qualification holder that is used by various governmental departments and educational institutions as well as employers to validate the holder’s qualifications. SAQA initiated a pilot project to launch a digital certificate of evaluation. The session will provide information on the process and how digitization has increased security, speed and trust in qualification evaluation.
